At WiiModWiis, we offer modchip installations for the Nintendo Wii and we also do firmware flashes on XBox360 Consoles. All mods have a lifetime warranty on the install work! Which means if a wire pops off or something else install related pops up, I will repair the problem at no cost to yourself for the lifetime of your console!! This does not apply to XBox360s and PSPs as they are firmware flashes (No soldering required).

What is a Modchip and what is a Firmware Flash?

Simply put, a Mod Chip is a chip that gets soldered inside the Wii which gives your Wii the ability to play copied games. This is Legal in Canada providing you already own a copy of the game. A Firmware flash is how the XBox360 is able to read copied games. Basically there is no chips and no soldering required. Instead, your XBox360 Drive has a controller chip that can have it's code over-written to accept copied games. BOTH modding formats void any manufacturer warrantee,

Usually my availability is tied into the weekends, so this is a good time to get your console modified if weekends don't work for you!


New D2E chipset showing up in Europe, unmoddable.Here we go again! A new board revision (D2E) has surfaced in Europe. Not wide spread by any means as yet, and none found in North America (Yet) so if you are buying a new Wii, you don't have anything to worry about, but that can change very soon.


New Wii Firmware v3.3 out - Chips un-affected but Twilight Hack effected.A recent Wii update has come out that has no effect on any current chips, but anyone using the twilight hack in order to run home-brew will loose this ability. Most people do not use this as they get chips installed to play their backups, but if you are using the Twilight Hack, you may want to think twice about updating your Wii firmware. as Nintendo have plugged that hole.


D2Pro V2 Chips (Not v2 Firmware, but v2 Chip for D2C2 boards) firmware update v1.4 available. SSBB now working.This update is for the D2Pro9 v2 chips only (At the moment) which addresses the SSBB not working issue. After testing the update myself, I am pleased to say that SSBB now works! You can find the update in the resources section.


Price Cuts (D2Pro) and Unmoddable Wiis now Moddable!Drasically dropped my prices on D2Pro Installs. I have switched over to D2Pro9 which means a lower wire count and DVD upgradeability as well as upgradeability via USB Programmer. D2Pros now also compatible with ALL Wiis, old and new.

Also, Unmoddable D2C Wiis are now moddable, I am getting a few chips in on Tuesday, so anyone that has been waiting for this, get in touch and we'll set up a time to do your installs.

New Unmoddable Chipset Cracked by D2Pro TeamGood news for everyone with one of these unmoddable boards. They have been cracked by the makers of the D2Pro, and we just have to wait for an implementation for it... Not sure if it will be a firmware upgrade to existing D2Pro chips, or a brand new chip specifically for this board. When I know, you'll know! Coming soon guys.


New Wii Chipset now spreading in Calgary! CURRENTLY UNMODDABLE!If you bought a new Wii anytime after April 24th, your Wii might not be currently moddable. The Chipset version has not been changed (Still D2Cs) but there are less markings on the chip itself... Not all of these new boards with fewer markings are unmoddable, which is a little frustrating since I cannot tell if it is moddable or not just by looking at the chip, or by the serial number. I have to fully mod it in order to tell if a modchip will take or not.

The D2Pro guys are working on a fix for this. No ETA what-so-ever. So if your Wii is unmoddable, your choices are to buy a new drive $110.00 which will have a moddable board on it, or wait until the new code is cracked.

If you are having me mod your Wii and it turns out to be unmoddable, I will NOT charge you for the time spent on it.

Wiikey Firmware 1.9s Released (Original SSBB fix)Everyone that went out and bought Super Smash Brothers Brawl and found that you could not play it on your Wiikey will be quite happy about this one. DOWNLOAD

Super Smash Bros Brawl hits NTSC - Wiikey ProblemsIt's finally here, and working great on all chips, EXCEPT the Wiikey. Wiikey systems will be able to play backups, but NOT originals at the moment. The Wiikey team is working on fixing the code and releasing an update, but no ETA has been supplied.

OpenWii customers can download the 2.4 upgrade/setup disc below. Wiikey customers will just need to wait on their upgrade and it will be posted here just as soon as it is released.

If you have any problems with any other chip, it could be the laser intensity of your console is not as good as it needs to be to play a Dual Layer disc... This is not something I can help with. Nintendo is offering to fix it so if this effects you, you may need to do a return to Nintendo. Chips working

Wii System Update 3.2u - FEB/25/2008 - SAFELooks like the newest update is safe to run. No reports of 3.2U effecting any current modchips. Personally tested on Wiikey/D2CKey/D2Pro.
